I'm Katrina Atkinson Multidisciplinery
Artist & Teacher. I facilitate weekly classes for both adults and children
as well as some exciting workshops.

Katrina is a fabulous teacher. She is helpful, patient, knowledgeable and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. The workshops have a warm, friendly atmosphere, and it is an enjoyable way to spend the day. I started the workshop as a beginner, but by the end of the day I came away with a piece of work which I have been proud of.
Most of the workshops have a similar format for the day unless specified.
10.00am start: Introduction to the workshop theme and short demonstration as well as examples of artworks to inspire. Choose from images and resources available. All materials, tools are provided. You will begin your project supported and guided by Katrina.
11.00am: Coffee & biscuits.
12.30pm: Lunch. Bring your own packed lunch or book a local pub.
1.30pm: Afternoon session commences.
3.00pm: Afternoon tea & cake.
4.00pm: End of the day.
Some of the workshops are very intensive and can be a lot to expect to complete your artwork in one day therefore if you need a little extra time you may continue and/or you will be supplied with the materials to complete at home. Katrina is always happy to support you remotely on your chosen method of communication.

FORMAT OF FULL DAY WORKSHOPS
COLLOGRAPH MAKING & PRINTING
Using flowers & leaves or a combination of recycled materials you will make a collograph substrate (base). From this you will make a series of coloured prints. This is an exciting process that is full of surprises through experimenting with textures, layers and colour.
Ideally this worksop would be over two three hour sessions, one hour to create the collographs and the second hour to print the plates.

Come and design, carve and print a lovely scene inspired by the seasons. Katrina will guide you through the process of this enjoyable art-form from drawing board to print. You will leave with at least one print ready to frame.

FABRIC COLLAGE
Katrina’s Fabric Chicken Collage Workshops have been very popular throughout 2022 with small to large groups and parties. This is a fail safe way of trying something new and creative-results have been fantastic. You don’t even need to be able to draw!

Four Fridays Fruity Fun!
Come and make a series of 4 Fruit Collages over 4 weeks. Friday Mornings 9.30 - 12.30
August: 4th/11th/18th/25th BOOK all four £100 or £30 for an individual workshop.
The Mini Workshops are fully practical 3 hours.
Full Day Workshops.
Katrina has worked extensively in collage and developed her unique style; her collages have been sold world wide. These workshops are fun and relaxing, In a Full Day Workshop Katrina will introduce you to several different collagists and their styles then you will create your own collage.
Successful themes have included 'Famous Impressionist Paintings', 'Animals' & 'Portraiture'. Full Day workshops 10am - 4pm £60 per person.
MIXED MEDIA ABSTRACTS
This is a new workshop Katrina is introducing this year. Collaging papers, stencilling and painting in layers. This is a lovely process Katrina will support you every step of the way. You will end the day with a unique piece of art wall-ready! This process is all about layers, using a variety of techniques and learning techniques throughout.
